Johnston, IA - Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor will discuss the growing popularity of E15 and current challenges and opportunities for the fuel during her keynote address at the 2018 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on January 30 in Altoona, Iowa.
“More major retail stations across the country are offering E15 today than ever before,” Skor said.
“The spectacular growth of E15 is a testament to the value it brings to fuel retailers and consumers.
"Forward-thinking retailers have figured out that giving their customers more fuel choices is smart business and American drivers have figured out that E15 allows them to save money at the pump, all while making a smarter choice for their engines and the environment.
"Our work with Prime the Pump to bring E15 choice to more and more drivers around the country has seen amazing results, and this momentum is another clear reminder for lawmakers that we must make this choice available year-round.”
Growth Energy is a leading national biofuel trade association that represents producers and supporters of ethanol.
Since taking over leadership of the organization in 2016, Skor has led Growth Energy down an ambitious path and integrated new and exciting ideas to promote the use of E15.
“Growth Energy has taken great strides to educate drivers and promote E15,” said Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Managing Director Lucy Norton.
“We’re excited to hear from Emily on all of the latest work her organization has been doing and her insight on how to best share the benefits of E15 with drivers, retailers, and government officials.”
The 2018 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit will take place at the Prairie Meadows Conference Center on January 30, 2018. The Summit is free to attend and open to the public.
