Sioux Falls, SD - March 6, 2017 - Former bioenergy magazine editor Katie Fletcher has joined the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) staff as Communications Director at the organization’s office based out of Sioux Falls.

ACE Executive Vice President Brian Jennings says Fletcher’s experience as a writer and editor at BBI International, a company that produces bioenergy and biofuels events and trade magazines, makes her a natural fit to set and guide communication strategy and build relationships with the organization’s constituencies including the media and ACE members.

“We are excited that Katie Fletcher is bringing her exceptional communication skills, experience in agriculture and biofuels, and enthusiasm for ethanol to the ACE team,” Jennings said.

“Katie is going to develop a stronger and more recognized communications strategy for ACE and our membership.”

“I’m thrilled to have been selected to join ACE’s team-orientated staff of hardworking individuals who strive to promote the innovative renewable energy platform that is the ethanol industry,” Fletcher said.

“As Communications Director, I hope to help broaden ACE’s reach amongst its constituencies by leading the generation of engaging content that aims to promote the organization’s brand and articulate its key priorities.”

Fletcher grew up on the farm of a North Dakota corn grower and holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Communication and Political Science from the University of North Dakota.

Fletcher joins the ACE staff after nearly three years of writing for BBI’s Ethanol Producer Magazine, Biomass Magazine and Pellet Mill Magazine and most recently serving as the editor of Pellet Mill Magazine.
