Biodiesel Process Design Company Greenline Industries Ranks 7th on Inc. Magazine's List of 5,000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies, and First in Energy Sector

Date Posted: August 27, 2008

Larkspur, CA—Greenline Industries, provider of biodiesel production platforms, has received major kudos from Inc. Magazine.

Not only is Greenline No. 7 on its annual ranking of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., but also No. 1 in both the Energy Sector and Top 100 Businesses in San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, CA.

Greenline attributes much of its success to a distributed model that allows biodiesel producers to localize production and distribution on a smaller scale.

"The energy industry is highly centralized, highly vulnerable, and very expensive," said Michael Brown, Co-Founder and CEO of Greenline Industries.

"Our mission is to decentralize energy."

Greenline Industries provides modular, waterless biodiesel platforms to small and medium sized producers around the world.

The platform encompasses a complete solution-from technology and equipment to processes and engineering.

The waterless technology helps communities conserve precious clean water resources instead of creating additional waste-water.

It is extremely well suited for areas of the world where competition exists between agriculture and other uses for scarce water resources.

This includes arid regions of the Americas, the U.S. and Asia where there is a difficult balance between uses of resources for food production versus fuel production.

Greenline has experienced a 10,941.8 percent growth rate since it was founded in 2002.

Greenline has 33 processing lines in four countries for a total production capacity of 250 million gallons.

"Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in business journalism," said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan.

"The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."
