Minneapolis, MN—In his role as VAA’s Electrical Department Manager, Derek Sachs will support the firm’s agribusiness and industrial clients while capturing opportunities to foster growth within the electrical group.

Sachs has 14 years of electrical engineering consulting experience in schematic design through construction.

His career includes a gamut of managing and / or designing low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding and telecommunication systems for facilities nationwide.

In addition, he has over 10 years of experience conducting short circuit and voltage drop calculations in conjunction with arc flash studies.

Sachs understands how new and existing systems can be adapted for different facility requirements and / or site needs.
