Itasca, IL—Tom Takacs has joined DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol as Vice President of Operations and a member of the company's Senior Leadership Team.

Tom has more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing operations at DuPont, where he held a variety of positions in engineering, project work, and operations management.

Most recently Tom worked in DuPont's Global Operations group.

He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.

He will be relocating to DDCE's headquarters in the Chicago, IL, area.

Reporting to the CEO, Tom will lead DDCE's operations strategy and direct operations at its demonstration-scale facility in Vonore, Tennessee, and future commercial production sites.

"Tom brings a wealth of operations experience from DuPont," said DDCE's CEO, Joe Skurla.

"As we optimize our process in Vonore and expand our operations activities as a first-mover in the industry, he will lead our efforts to deliver investment-grade projects and safe, sustainable production of fuel from cellulosic feedstocks."
