Date Posted: Mar. 12, 2008

Independence, KY—Flottweg Separation Technology recently opened a new 26,000-square-foot distribution, repair and testing facility in Independence, KY dedicated to aftermarket service and process solution development for that company's line of municipal, biofuels, food, chemical and industrial separation machinery.

According to company president Dan Ellis, the new $3.25 million facility inventories more than $4 million in parts and accessories to serve client aftermarket needs.

A feasibility-testing lab is maintained at the new location to engineer processing solutions for existing customers and prospects.

And to round out the modern, full-service, facility, a testing bay is available where production-sized samples can be run to investigate and prove maximum processing effectiveness and efficiency under real-world conditions.

"In addition to testing, we can fulfill virtually any aftermarket service need that a customer might require," Ellis said.

"Machining, welding, sandblasting, balancing and nearly every kind of rebuild and refurbishment can be done in-house to ensure the fastest possible turnaround and minimal production downtime,” he added.

Flottweg also recently opened an aftermarket sales office and parts depot in Russell, KS to ensure prompt delivery of parts and services nationwide.

Three regional Flottweg sales offices are maintained in the northeast, southeast and west coast regions to support company headquarters in Kentucky while seven full-time service technicians are on call to support Flottweg equipment and customers coast to coast.

Flottweg Separation Technology is a leading provider of innovative German engineered machinery and technology dedicated to the efficient separation of liquids and solids.
