Golden State Biofuel to Construct Multiple-Feedstock Biodiesel Plant in Indio, CADate Posted: March 9, 2010 Indio, CA—Golden State Biofuel has selected the City of Indio in Riverside County for its first advanced biofuel refinery in California.
The Southern California location will serve metropolitan Los Angeles, the High Desert and Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego. The scalable refinery will have an initial nameplate capacity of one million gallons annually. The Indio refinery will utilize proprietary refinery systems developed in-house at the company's Parker, Colorado Research and Development facility. The Indio refinery is currently in the permitting phase and expected to be operational by mid-year. The Indio refinery is expected to generate a number of new-economy, green jobs. “We expect to initially hire about a dozen people in various positions at the Indio refinery and will be accepting applications and resumes online,” said Randall Lichner, Chief Operating Officer. “Salaried positions will include management, marketing, technical, operations and drivers. Plus, we will also be offering a number of intern positions for college students,” said Lichner. For more information, call 949-209-8735. Biodiesel
