Springfield, IL—Perten Instruments, Inc. has appointed Joe Bester as Regional Manager for the north mid-west region.

Bester will be responsible for the sale of all Perten products to the states of Minnesota, North & South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Products include traditional Falling Number, Near-Infrared and NIR-diode array, RVA, moisture and dough testing, laboratory mills, and grain hardness and uniformity systems.

Bester takes over the region from Terry Allen, who has accepted a position within Perten as Key Accounts Manager.

Bester has an MBA from St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.

He previously started his own company which grew to over $5 million in revenue. He then worked for TSI, Inc. selling various analytical equipment to researchers, government labs, and industrial accounts.
