RFA Issues Weekly and November Ethanol Production Statistics

According to EIA, ethanol production averaged 939,000 barrels per day (b/d) – or 39.44 million gallons daily.

That is up 5,000 b/d from the previous week.

The 4-week average for ethanol production stood at 940,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.4 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at a record 20.9 million barrels.

Gasoline demand for the week averaged 334.6 million gallons daily - the lowest since September 2001.

Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 11.79%.

On the co-products side, ethanol producers were using 14.238 million bushels of corn to produce ethanol and 105,683 metric tons of livestock feed, 95,381 metric tons of which were distillers grains.

The rest is comprised of corn gluten feed and corn gluten meal. Additionally, ethanol producers were providing 4.32 million pounds of corn oil daily.

Monthly ethanol production data for November 2011

According to EIA, daily average ethanol production in November 2011 was 945,000 b/d - a monthly record.

That was an increase of 29,000 b/d over October 2011.

Through November, 2011 ethanol production was 12.7 billion gallons.

The RFA is projecting 13.9 billion gallons for calendar year 2011.

Stocks of ethanol in November were 19.3 million barrels.
