VAA Names David Selinsky as Partner

Date Posted: April 14, 2015

Minneapolis, MN—VAA, an established engineering firm, announces the promotion of David Selinsky to Partner of the firm.

Selinsky has contributed significantly to the growth of the Industrial Architecture Group in the last seven years he has been with the firm.

“David is the catalyst for the Industrial Architecture Group’s recent growth,” said VAA Partner Scott Stangeland about the group growing from two to a healthy 10.

“He truly wants what is best for our clients. David is thoughtful in his design and has been successful in mentoring and providing growth opportunities for his staff.”

The unanimous decision from the existing nine owners to promote Selinsky was based on the growth of the department and his ability to help VAA clients leverage a facility’s potential for today’s processing needs and plan for future expansions.

Through Selinsky’s guidance, his team introduced the use of 3D modeling to many of VAA’s agricultural and industrial design efforts.

His niche knowledge in Life Safety Code has made him a valuable resource for the entire firm as he is able to provide recommendations to construct safe facilities for people and the environment.

Personally the promotion reinforces Selinsky’s desire to mentor staff in their professional growth.

“VAA markets clients not projects,” said Selinsky. “If I can be a resource to staff and better their skills and the design process, it will only improve our services and relationships with our clients.”
