Valero has been named to Forbes magazine's first-ever roster of the 500 Best Employers.
Forbes surveyed 20,000 workers of every type of company and asked them to rank their employer, and then name five others they believe are good places to work.
Valero was one of only a few energy companies on the list, which will be published in the March 30 edition.

This honor comes about a month after Valero was named to Fortune magazine’s list of the World's Most Admired Companies.
Valero ranked fourth in the Petroleum Refining category, moving up one spot from last year's list.
Valero was third in the category among U.S.-based companies and the top independent refiner on the list.
