Wilden H400 High Pressure AODD Pumps Handle Viscous, Solid-Laden Slurries

Date Posted: August 16, 2010

Grand Terrace, CA—Wilden, a manufacturer of air-operated double-diaphragm pump technology, announced Aug. 16 that its H400 High Pressure Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps have been designed to reliably transfer viscous, solid-laden slurries at high head pressures.

These 38mm (1-1/2") pumps are available with simplex technology to generate upwards of 17.2 bar (250 psig).

The simplex creates a 2:1 pressure ratio, meaning that these pumps do not require costly external boosters or amplifiers to achieve the required pressure output.

Also during operation, only one liquid chamber is used to pump fluid while the other is used as a pressure-amplification chamber.

This allows the pump to have a flow rate of 242 lpm (64 gpm) with a maximum suction lift of 3.1m (10.1 feet) and the ability to pass solids as large as 8.0mm (5/16").

The H400 pumps also feature Wilden's patent-pending Pro-Flo V Air Distribution System (ADS).

This ADS greatly improves the performance characteristics of AODD pumps through the incorporation of three moving parts: the unbalanced air valve spool, the pilot spool and the main shaft/diaphragm assembly.

This design results in optimized air flow in the pump.
