Johnston, IA — The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) today announced Missouri Governor and Governors’ Biofuels Coalition Vice Chairman Jay Nixon will discuss the importance of biofuels at the 9th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on January 27.

“We’re excited to announce Gov. Jay Nixon as a featured speaker for the fast-approaching 2015 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit,” stated IRFA Executive Director Monte Shaw.

“Gov. Nixon has been a stalwart supporter of increased consumer access to homegrown biofuels, and as Vice Chairman of the Governors’ Biofuels Coalition he brings an experienced and unique perspective on challenges currently facing the energy sector.”

Mo. Gov. Jay Nixon is currently the Vice Chair of the Governors’ Biofuels Coalition.

This is the governor’s second recent trip to Iowa to discuss biofuels, as late last year he toured the POET-DSM cellulosic ethanol plant near Emmetsburg, Iowa.
